The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification course is based on the principles of both six sigma and lean manufacturing. All of the lean manufacturing certification and six sigma black belt certification concepts are taught in one course. The same widely accepted DMAIC model is taught, with lean manufacturing principles utilized extensively throughout the model, particularly during the "Improve" phase. Our unique course enables students to master both lean manufacturing and six sigma in one course. BPR’s Lean Six Sigma Certification Course is 100% online. The training covers the Body of Knowledge (BOK) of six sigma and all lean manufacturing concepts in the PDCA model, integrated to deliver maximum results, which will enable the Black Belt to immediately participate and lead others in lean six sigma projects

There are many advantages to the online course. The primary advantages are that the material will be learned to a greater depth, specific modules can be reviewed until learned, and questions are handled on a one-on-one basis with a Master Black Belt. Many courses only touch lightly on the statistical calculations and analysis, while others use a software-only approach. While our course advocates the use of Minitab and SigmaXL, or other software in daily six sigma use, it is important for a Black Belt to understand the basic concepts. Understanding the details behind concepts enables the black belt to explain the results. It also enables the student to achieve the 75% score necessary for 6 sigma certification.

Our Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification course includes over 25 modules based on the DMAIC (Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control) and PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) models. Each module contains several quizzes. At the end of the course an exam is given to test that sufficient knowledge has been obtained to operate successfully as a Black Belt. The candidate may re-take the test until a 75% score is obtained. The candidate will also complete one full lean six sigma training project utilizing the tools learned and following the two models. Upon successful completion of the exam and project, the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification is awarded to the candidate. Although there is no education requirement to take the course, it is recommended for individuals with at least average basic math skills.

The course should take less than four months to complete. However, all candidates have one full year access to the course site. This entirely depends on the individual. If they wish to finish the course in less time as given, they can do it. One year extension is granted for those candidates who are struggling to learn the material or have personal issues preventing the course completion.

Cost

The course cost of $995 includes one year access to the course, exam, project review, certification, and one license to SigmaXL, a six sigma software bolt-on for Microsoft Excel. Other popular statistical software packages may also be used at the candidate’s own expense, such as Minitab.
